When you think of Orlando you think of all the tourist attractions and wonderful things to do. But there are some wonderful communities that surround all that excitement. Davenport is just one of these places.

Situated along US 17, and just east of US 27 in Polk County Davenport has rolling hills that provide a country setting formerly used for citrus production, have drawn dozens of new subdivisions to the area. Small in size with only two square miles, and with a population of less than 2,000, Davenport is in the center of a booming residential area.

Governed by a commission/ manager form of government Davenport provides a variety of recreational opportunities to its citizens, including a public swimming pool, four ball fields, two tennis courts and basketball complexes, and two children’s parks with playground equipment.
